Lamplighter is a favorite! Price is great in the coffee shop! Food is very good. Weekly specials. Staff very friendly! Cozy and quaint. If your order isn't right they will make it right! Ordered the Delmonico wasn't quite cooked for me,the cook made it right and personally brought it out to me! They have great blue cheese dressingThe serve their is always good. Easy access from rt.22 highly recommend to visit the coffee shop at the Lamplighter. Also warm homemade bread! And deserts! Awesome!

The food is great, don't miss out on the homemade bread. Plus the coffee shop is a value! With daily specials and reasonably priced breakfast options it's a bargain.

Very enjoyable. Had very good service. They have weekly dinner specials that are worth the visit and the price. Around $10.00 for dinner specials with desert.

Owners are very customer oriented and the dining experience has always been delicious.

There breakfast is great, they give out nice big white cups of coffee that are delicious. They host great murder mystery dinners and the occasional show. We had a church dinner here at Christmas time and the food was wonderful.

Nice older restaurant. Family owned I think. Good food for less! The liver and pies are teriffic! Support local business like these as opposed to chain restaurants. Good place to wind down, relax and enjoy your meal.Off busy William Penn Highway.

Your missing out if you do not try this place

Overall, the Lamplighter is disappointing. The main dish is typically decent, but the vegetables have been mediocre. The service that we experienced on our last two visits has been terrible. We will not be going back.

I was looking forward to visiting the lamplighter fir a month. The men’s restroom wall had not been cleaned in weeks. I had great service. The food well was one of the worst meals I had in years. The entertainment For the diving was really good. Maybe think about updating and get a better chief.

We celebrated a baby shower at the Lamplighter.....could not have been more pleased! The food was fantastic....the area was neat and clean! Our server was so helpful....STAR 5!!

My husband and I got married here last June, as well as my sister and sister-in-law the previous July! Debbie, Andrew and Kate were all so accommodating and helpful and were always there when we needed something during the planning and during the reception. Best wedding reception prices in our area with phenomenal food (that people STILL talk about a year later) and wonderful open bar package. We often go back and visit for the breakfast/brunch buffet which is wonderful as well. They have great coffee and a wonderful omelet station. The food from the coffee shop is great, too!

I was here for a breakfast buffet. The food was good and the selection of items was excellent. The restaurant is older and that makes it unique and interesting which you don't see every day. The staff was kind and helpful. The only drawback was that the coffee was very weak ☕. Despite the bad coffee I would consider coming here again if I was visiting the area.

Breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever had. Everything tasted like it was spoiled. Dishware was dirty. Staff was aloof or down right rude. I was so tired and hungry or we would have walked out.

Will never go back. Ordered a hamburger and asked for steak sauce. They gave me a bottle of A1 sauces that had nothing but a dark water in it. Disgusting.

Great breakfast special during the week.Two eggs potatoes and a piece of ham that is a real piece of ham not lunch meat and two pieces of toast for like four bucks.

The lamplighter has been in the same place in Murrysville for over 50 years. The food is good the is at one end of the dining room. There's also a section in front which is a regular breakfast and lunch dinner.The only downside to the place is it needs to be remodeled.

Ordered the special today at 11 am. Husband waited 45 minutes to be told they had no specials left. Called and was told, "they are short staffed and unsure how he can make it better as he ran out of the special. He has 100 people in line." I said I should have been given 3 free meals. My guess is my food went to someone else and we should have been told when ordering at 11 am for 5 p m that is wasn't available. There are many people out of work so hire someone, plan ahead. When you order at 11 am for 5 pm, you as a business are not planning for anything. Manager told me he would call me when he didn't have 100 people waiting for their food. WHAT FOOD, the stuff they didn't order?

Really friendly waitress, excellent homemade salad dressings, scallops were large and good, filet was good, but a little to fatty, not trimmed I guess, but for the price a good deal. We were seated in the diner side 😎. Great deserts and very inexpensive for being homemade, at least 1/2 the price of other restaurants. We will be back 😊

Good food, good service. Homestyle cooking in a nice atmosphere.Entertainment is pretty good too. Have been there to see musical artists and bands. One of the few places in the area offering that.

A great time capsule. The sign is magnificent! The diner side interior was great but I wish they'd try to keep it a little more true to its vintage aesthetic and get rid of the wallpaper borders and other contemporary details.

I heard from a co-worker about their food, I finally decided to go in. The food was SO GOOD! Reminds me of home cooking. The staff is great and takes care of you. My belly is so happy.

Food is good but not fantastic. Their breakfast prices are very good but they do charge for plate sharing. The breakfast is average but you still get a good amount of food. The dinner food is pricer but you can still get a decent size sandwich meal for $10. Their desserts are also under $4 which is nice. They do have many specials and events throughout the month so there is always a change of pace. Best thing there to me though is that you can get $15 off an entree for your birthday.

I haven’t been to this restaurant in months and there is a reason. The food was horrid, I was talking with my family about terrible restaurants and this won by a landslide. All around terrible. The food was all cooked wrong, and there cups were dirty. And instead of giving us new cups they just wiped it and gave it back, I wanted to throw up. I will never return, my experience was terrible!!

The buffet meat was awful. As you picked the chicken out of the serving container it fall apart therefore the serving container contained all broken chicken parts. The ham was so tough you could not cut it with a knife.When I when to get a tea, there was no hot water or tea bags. I notified a waiter. She took the water pot so I waited thinking she would return the pot with hot water. I waited over 10 minutes before I seen another waiter who got me a cup of hot water and tea bag.Never again.

Had my Daughter's baby shower there and it was a wonderful experience. Debbie is amazing to work with the food excellent, staff were AMAZING!!

I loved it the food was amazing, and it was really clean and nice. My only complaint is that the service wasn't the best it took forever to get refills and it just wasn't as fast as I would like but the food was outstanding and I loved it.
